Good to know

We know this isn’t easy, but don’t worry, we got your back! Here’s how we can help to connect with each other:

  • Many of our guests speak English. Communication works best when both sides are willing to try and understand each other.
  • Michelle’s parents, aunt, uncle, and cousins from Bayreuth speak Polish and German and will gladly help with translations.
  • Andreas has also learned a few basics of Polish over the past year. If it’s something simple (like food), he may be able to help.

If in doubt, there’s always Google Translate. Or, for the older generation: Communication with hands and feet .

We look forward to a thoughtful, multicultural celebration with you!

Here we’ve summarized some traditions from both countries for you.

Please join us in formal and elegant evening wear.

Even in August, it can get chilly in old churches or in the evening. Therefore, we recommend bringing a jacket.

Your presence is the greatest gift for us. If you would like to give us something anyway, a small contribution to our future house would be greatly appreciated!

You don’t invite to a wedding for gifts,
But to share a day that truly uplifts.
If tradition calls and you feel inclined,
A little piggy bank gift will be just fine.
For decor, flowers, and tableware dear,
Rest assured, everything’s already here.

We love flowers, but will leave for our honeymoon soon after the wedding. They would wilt before we got to enjoy them.

Our maids of honor know the entire schedule and have everything under control. If you’ve planned a surprise, please let them know. You can find their contact details here.

After the ceremony, everyone will exit the church through the side door. We’d be happy if the guests leave first and wait to receive the bride and groom.

Spontaneous guests of the ceremony will have the opportunity to congratulate us here. To avoid long delays, please wait to congratulate us until we have arrived at the KulturGut.

We will drive there together in a convoy. Please also take note of some traditions that we’d love to continue with you.

During the ceremony, our photographer will be with us at all times. She will make sure to capture the service in all its lovely details, so everyone can enjoy the ceremony without the distraction of having to take their own picture.

During the celebration in the afternoon and evening, however, photography is greatly encouraged! If you want to share your own pictures with us, you can upload them to our cloud with a QR code. We would love to see them!

A selection of the photos will be made available to all guests afterward. Please note that you might appear in some of the photos.

We would love to celebrate with you until the break of dawn, but unfortunately, our party must end by 3:00 AM.

Thank you for being with us on this special day, and we hope to create beautiful memories together!
